Keysight 3245A Universal Source
The Keysight 3245a is a universal source that combines a precision DC voltage and current source a synthesized function generator and an arbitrary waveform generator in one 3.5-inch tall instrument. Originally made by Hewlett Packard and later carried under the Agilent and Keysight names it works as a versatile bench source or as part of a computer aided test system and for many users it may be the only source they need.
Key Features
- Precision DC outputs: voltage and current with 6½ digits of resolution
- High-resolution mode: 24-bit resolution with 60 ppm 90 day accuracy
- Fast low-resolution mode: 12-bit resolution with 100 µs settling with seven voltage ranges
- Voltage ranges: two high resolution ranges, ±1 V and ±10 V
- Current output: four ranges from 0.1 mA to 100 mA

- Optional high-voltage option (Option 002): a 10× amplifier for a 100 V output
Typical Applications
- Testing A/D converters and voltage to frequency converters
- VCO and transducer testing
- Precision DC and AC calibration sources
- Automated test systems and production test
- General purpose bench source for design and R&D
Why Choose It
The Keysight 3245a gives you precision DC accurate AC and arbitrary waveform generation in a single compact unit which saves bench space and cost over separate instruments. Its fine resolution, floating outputs, and programmability make it a strong choice for both bench work and automated test setups.
