Anritsu LMR Master S412E
The Anritsu S412E is a handheld multi function analyzer for installing and maintaining land mobile radio (LMR) systems, such as public safety, utility, and private mobile networks. It brings a spectrum analyzer a vector network analyzer (VNA) for cable and antenna testing a vector signal generator and an LMR signal analyzer into one rugged battery powered instrument. It is Anritsu second generation Anritsu S412E built on its ninth generation handheld platform and it suits commissioning preventive maintenance troubleshooting and compliance testing of mission critical radio systems.
Key Features Anritsu S412E
- Spectrum analyzer: 9 kHz to 1.6 GHz with optional extension to 6 GHz
- Vector network analyzer: 500 kHz to 1.6 GHz for cable and antenna analysis with an optional 6 GHz version
- Vector signal generator: internally adjustable output power from 0 dBm to -130 dBm
- LMR signal analysis: analyzes narrowband FM analog systems and digital P25, P25 Phase 2, DMR, NXDN, dPMR, TETRA, and PTC systems depending on the options installed
- Duplex test: simultaneous analysis and generation of analog or digital LMR signals
- Interference analysis: spectrogram, signal strength, RSSI, and mapping to track down interferers
- Typical measurements: occupied bandwidth channel power ACPR and C/I
- Coverage mapping: on screen LMR coverage mapping for outdoor and indoor performance checks (with the GPS option and the coverage mapping option)
- Cable and antenna testing: return loss, VSWR, cable loss, and distance to fault using the industry standard Site Master methods
- 8.4-inch daylight-viewable touchscreen: easy to read outdoors
- Master Software Tools: PC software for report creation data management and line sweep tools
- GPS tagging option: stamps traces with location and time information for proof of the measurements
- Optional measurement packages: include LTE RF and modulation quality, WiMAX, GSM/GPRS/EDGE for GSM-R railway systems EMF measurements (with an isotropic antenna) vector voltmeter and compatibility with Motorola APX radio auto test and alignment software
- Rugged, portable design: battery operated for field work
Typical Applications
- Commissioning and maintaining public safety and utility radio networks
- Land mobile radio transmitter and receiver testing
- Cable and antenna system sweeps
- Interference hunting and spectrum monitoring
- Coverage verification and mapping
- Railway radio (GSM-R and PTC) testing with options
Why Choose It
The Anritsu S412E replaces several separate instruments with one handheld that covers cable and antenna testing spectrum analysis, and digital radio analysis. That means fewer tools to carry and quicker checks of the whole radio system from the antenna line to the over the air signal.
